Salon des Indépendants
Annual exhibition of the Société des Artistes Indépendants, held in Paris since 1884. Organized as a second Salon des Refusés, it was established in response to the rigid traditionalism of the official government-sponsored Salon. Its first show exhibited works by Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Vincent van Gogh, and Georges Seurat. By 1905 Henri Rousseau, Pierre Bonnard, Henri Matisse, and the Fauves had all exhibited there.
The Paris OpenArtCode group exhibition took place from 3rd - 9th November 2009 at the Grand Palais, Parijs
On the opening on the 3th of November were 22.000 people visiting the exhibition
The Open Art Code
is a group of talented artists who have very different technical styles and their artistic formation is varied. They have united their talents in the past to exhibit together in Italy, Montecarlo, Mexico and last year at the Grand Palais under the umbrella of Passion for Life. Now this energy is being channelled into the promotion of the art works of the individual artists by concentrating on organising this and other prestigious exhibitions in the future.

During the Society Lunch wich Dutch artists Gordon and Ben Cramer
Paintings by Betty Jonker formed the backdrop to the Society Lunch.
The Society Lunch is an initiative of Tony Tetro and Barbara Plugge which about 250 persons from the Society and showbiz world were invited.
The Society was organized by the Entrada Lunch Restaurant Group, Restaurant La Galleria and badgers King Tony Tetro.
The presentation was hosted by Kevin Brewer and had the theme
“Carnevale di Venezia”

In June 2008, 14 PFL artists had the opportunity to exhibit their works at the Artemisia Art gallery offered to the artists by the owner Mirella Setzu, in a city famous worldwide for the quality of life: Monte-Carlo. The Gallery is centrally located in the heart of the Principality of Monaco between the Casinò, the Hotel de Paris and the Boulevard des Moulins.
The Passion for lif-art exhibitions are events in the larger sense of the word. The charity evenings, the conferences, the awareness-making form part of Antoine Gaber’s international level campaign to sustain the fight against cancer.

On Saturday September 1st was the opening of the first exhibition of the dutch Florence Biennale artists. Among the guests were the ambassador of Italy, His Excellency S.E. Gaetano Cortese and Mr. Vito Abba, PR Officer International Relations of the Florence Biennale de Gemeente Emmen was represented by the Alderman Art and Culture mrs M.H. Thalens-Kolker.
Betty Jonker was initiator and co-founder of the dFBA.
