Over 100 artists from 5 continents will be participating in this first edition of WORLD ART VISION. It will feature painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, prints, installation art, video and digital art. WORLD ART VISION, first and foremost, is a chance for individual artists to exhibit their most recent work. But it is also an opportunity to meet with the other artists present, attend the collateral events andconferences organized and meet with the public, visitors, collectors and critics. The exciting program of crossover events is open to all. WORLD ART VISION will be a vital source for all art lovers and tourists alike, allowing them to both discover new developments in contemporary art and participate in this first edition of what we hope will become, not only one of the most important cultural and social highlights of the Americas, but also the most important ARTISTS’ exhibition of the Americas. Betty Jonker is member of the international selection commitee “Los Fridos” to attend WORLD ART VISION: Cancun 2008 We can now confirm that Arturo Garcìa Bustos and Arturo Estrada, two of the four “Fridos”, will be attending WORLD ART VISION: Cancun 2008, along with Rina Lazo, pupil and collaborator of Diego Rivera. The “Fridos”, Arturo Garcìa Bustos and Arturo Estrada, Fanny Rabel and Guillermo Monroy, were all students of Frida Kahlo, Mexico’s most famous female artist of the 20th century. Today, Rina Lazo and Arturo García Bustos are two of Mexico's most treasured artists. Rina Lazo studied under Diego Rivera, while Arturo Garcìa Bustos studied under Frida Kahlo. Under the tutelage of the great Mexican Masters, Rina and Arturo have taken a prominent role in the development of Mexican art. Today, Arturo García Bustos is recognized as one of the greatest Mexican lithographers and as one of the best Mexican painters and muralists. Arturo Garcìa Bustos, Arturo Estrada and Rina Lazo will bring an exceptional artistic testimony to WORLD ART VISION: CANCUN 2008 and so we hope you can join us for this unique opportunity!
